Shanghai, October 10 (Gasgoo.com) Hainan-based FAW Haima Automobile Co. Ltd. is planning to enter the small car market next year and then to develop mid-sized cars, in order to expand its product lineup, Nanfang Daily reported.

According to its schedule, Haima Automobile will launch the small / mini car platform for expanding its family car market share, and then move to a mid-sized platform targeting the middle-sized commercial car market. The carmaker will also boost development in the SUV, minibus, and mini car segments.
Currently the Haima Zhengzhou plant has begun entering the minicar market, with its Fushida model to be launched within the year. Haima said it aims to further the development of its own-brand models.
Haima Hainan plant, Haima's sedan production base of 150,000-unit annual capacity, now mainly produces Haima 3, Family, Happin and Freema models.
