The 1,000 acres of evergreen forest program supported by Shanghai General Motors Dongyue Automotive was officially launched in Nandashan, Xiaojiakuang, Fushan District of Yantai, Shandong Province.
This program is the response to the Yantai Government's request and Shanghai GM's Drive To Green strategy, aiming at improving the local natural environment and the condition of water and land. The program plans to plant more than 47,000 trees of 900 acres, which will make a great contribution to Yantai's environmental protection.
Dongyue has introduced several models of green cars in recent years. It has passed the certification of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard, and been awarded Yantai Advanced Enterprise in Energy Saving and Shandong Province Environmentally Friendly Enterprise.
