Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge networks to be merged in China

By George Gao  From:Gasgoo.comJune 25, 2008

Shanghai, June 25 (Gasgoo.com) Chrysler (China) is pushing ahead with its effort to merge the sales networks of its three brands: Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge. The current dealers of Chrysler and Dodge brands will unite their store names soon to use the new "Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep" dealership logo.

In a Dodge 4S store in Beijing, the imported Chrysler Sebring, 300C, Jeep models are displayed together with the Dodge Caliber and Caravan models. The Chrysler Sebring and Jeep models are two highlights that draw more attention from customers. Chrysler and Dodge started the merging process of their China sales networks in April.

By mid-June, Dodge had increased the number of its Beijing dealerships to nine, with the six new ones originally being the Chrysler / Jeep brand 4S stores. Dodge has more than doubled its Chinese dealerships to 70 since March, mainly located in Beijing and coastal provinces such as Jiangsu and Zhejiang.

The merging of the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge networks in China will rapidly expand the dealerships of the three brands and thus boost the sales of their cars. For brand and product reasons, the sales of Chrysler and Jeep vehicles will grow more remarkably than Dodge's after the networks are merged.
