Shanghai, June 27 (Gasgoo.com) Vehicles produced by Chinese carmakers Lifan Auto and Dongfeng Yu'an were delivered to the Chile market since on Wednesday, according to xinhuanet.com.
The launch of the Lifan and Dongfeng products was announced at the Santiago press conference on June 25 by the two Chinese automakers Chongqing Lifan Industry (Group) and Dongfeng Yu'an Vehicle Co.
The two automakers initially intorduced Lifan 520, Dongfeng S-MPV and small pickup vehicles with an eye to selling them on the Chile market through Chile's Maksa company. Maksa showed strong confidence in the quality of China-made vehicles and promised to sell them out through its sales network nationally.
As China-made vehicles which have met the Euro standards, Lifan models have gone on sale in over 50 countries and regions, said Li Wei, Lifan project manager.
Gong Haiyan, project manager of Dongfeng Yu'an, expected a brand increase of Chinese mini vehicles around the globe by Dongfeng-series products.
Data showed that China-made vehicles had 5.1% auto market share in Chile by April this year.
