Jiangling Motors Corp Ltd, in which Ford Motor Co holds a 30 pct stake, said it produced 51,722 vehicles and sold 52,000 vehicles in the first half of 2008.
In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company said it produced 20,000 light trucks, 15,045 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 14,611 pickups, 1,774 SUVs and 292 microbuses in the six months.
It sold 20,734 light trucks, 14,733 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 14,409 pickups, 1,823 SUVs and 301 microbuses during the period.
In June, it produced 4,942 light trucks, 2,546 pickups, 2,168 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 231 SUVs and 49 microbuses. It sold sold 4,210 light trucks, 2,094 pickups, 2,585 Ford Transit commercial vehicles, 288 SUVs and 54 microbuses.
