Jointly invested by Shanghai Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. and German Pierburg AG, Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Shanghai Nonferrous Components Co., Ltd. (KPSNC) is an enterprise specialized in producing nonferrous components.
The total investment is US$ 51.11 million with each party contributing 50%. The business scope of KPSNC is development, production and assembly of nonferrous casting components, modules and tooling for the automotive industries and other industries. KPSNC mainly applies the foundry technologies of die casting, gravity casting and squeeze casting.
By adopting "the cooperation between industrial enterprises, universities and research institutes", KPSNC conducts research and development respectively with such universities as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai University. KPSNC has integrated research, development and production systems and is the leader in China in the aspects of nonferrous material research, mold making, casting and processing technology. KPSNC has passed the certifications of ISO 9002, QS 9000 and VDA 6.1.
