UMC was established in 1951 as a supplier of replacement spare parts (primarily chassis parts) . Consequent to establishing a firm customer base, the company ventured into manufacturing. With backward integration as its aim, a small manufacturing unit for multi-leaf springs and u-bolts was set up. From a very small beginning envisaged to cater to the domestic aftermarket, today the UMC group has grown substantially. Besides manufacturing leaf springs, u-bolts and shackle / spring pins we also market various allied chassis and other parts such as coil springs, shackles, pins, bushes, torque arm bolts, hangers, brackets and rubber parts etc. Today the name UMC is synonymous with quality, durability and consistency.
