Production fine blanking
We routinely fine blank parts up to 10mm thick. The control available in the fine blanking process gives many advantages. Anywhere flatness, Edge squareness and edge smoothness are critical fine blanking has major advantages.
• It is possible to produce a component that is flat and has smooth unbroken square edges through the entire thickness of the component
• Components are very accurate and very consistent - Tolerances of 0. 03mm are achievable on relatively heavy gauge material.
• Features such as countersinks, Extrusions, Semi- Pierces, Weld projections, Coined chamfers, Counter bores, And offsets can be applied in the pressing operation.
• Virtually any malleable metal can be fine blanked (steel, Copper, Aluminium & stainless steel).
