FAW Shandong Special Automobile Works is one of the most main bases that manufacture special vehicle and drive axle of middle and heavy-duty truck and coach or bus. It was founded in 1968 and completely belongs to the China FAW Group Corporation in 2003.It covers an area of 220,000 m2, in which the product building area is 90,000 m2. Its fixed assets is RMB￥650 million and its annual turnover is over RMB￥1500 million.

FAW Shandong Special Automobile Works has excellent product equipments and advanced manufacture process, the most important machining processes realize numerical control and automation; it has five branches and many of advanced flow product lines in domestic; It holds many kinds of special technologies such as casting , stamping , riveting and welding, machining, heat treatment, surface treatment, assembling, mould-making , etc; it took the lead in passing the International Quality Certification ISO9001 in the same industrial sector in 1997,now it passes the International Quality Certification TS16949 in 2007; now it sets up the systems of CAD, CAPP, PDM, ERP and OA.

Now its annual production is 150000 sets of axle assembly, 12000 units of special vehicle and 35000 pieces of hydraulic cylinder.

FAW Shandong Special Automobile Works’ products involve the series of front axle, rear axle and tagging axle. Rear axle mainly involves the series of 390,420, 435, 457, DA485 and wheel-reducing axles LB300 and LC300 of truck and many kinds of coach or bus axles which can be assembled with air suspension, disc brake, ABS or auto slack adjuster, etc. Its products are mainly supplied to many chassis manufacturers, such as FAW,CAMC,AUMAN and FOTON. Now our “Pengxiang” axle becomes the "Chinese top-brand" products.

Its main special vehicles are more than 100 models of four series such as semi-trailer, dump truck, tanker and van . Its products are sold in 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions and part of them are exported to South Asia, Middle East, Middle America, etc.

Its main hydraulic cylinders are more than 20 models of two categories and can meet the demands of all kinds of dump truck. Its products are mainly supplied to many chassis manufacturers, such as self-factory, FAW Group and North BENZ, etc.
