1. Mobile HDD comes with the software in vmware, not native
2. You need to make sure your laptop can meet its Hardware and software requirements
Hardware requires at least Intel Celeron/Pentium 2.0GHz, 2G RAM, USB 2.0recommended and Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 latest service pack installed.

3. Your laptop has Com port(serial port), or has PCMCIA Slot or Express Slot to creat the Com Port, if your laptop has none of them, you can choose Super mb star Plus, it use lan cable and Wifi to connect the laptop, same software as Super mb star.
